    “If you don’t go all the way with me, through thick and thin, you don’t deserve me. If your first concern is to look after yourself, you’ll never find  yourself. But if you forget about yourself and look to me, you’ll find both yourself and me.”

    I need these words tattoo’d on my forehead. I can get so lost in the world, in myself, in my ambition, in my, mine and me. These words that Jesus spoke to his disciples remind me that what was true for disciples in the New Testament is still true for me in today’s world. The answer for a hurting, aching and confused heart isn’t to be found in a job, boyfriend, salary, address, or a number on a scale … the only thing that can make sense of me in this world is by looking away from me, and looking up.
